One of David Beckham's many trophies with Manchester United is the 1996 FA Charity Shield. Even though he was still a relatively young player for Manchester United, Beckham gained the trust of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson during the previous season and earned a spot in the starting XI for United in the Charity Shield match taking place before the 1996-97 season. United were a force in the match and Beckham rewarded the manager's decision by providing a goal in the 4-0 win that ended with Manchester lifting the trophy.
