About the Driver
J.J. Yeley has been a star in every racing league he has participated; he currently drives the #18 Interstate Batteries car for Joe Gibbs Racing. Yeley was a star in the USAC where he was named the 1997 Rookie of the Year, the 2001, 2003 Sprint Champion, and the 2002,2003 Driver of the year. He was the second driver ever to achieve the USAC’s Triple Crown (Tony Stewart was the first) and holds the record for most wins in a USAC season with 24 in 2003. In 2004 Yeley joined the NASCAR circuit and has done very well. During the 2007 season he finished second in the Coca-Cola 600 and won his first pole in Michigan.
