About the Character:
Darth Maul, played by Ray Park was the main villain in Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace. Trained in the ways of the dark side of the force by Darth Sidious, Maul is a very skilled with the light saber. He is filled with hatred and is used by Sidious to do his bidding.
During the Star Wars Episode I: the Phantom Menace, Maul is sent by Darth Sidious to capture Queen Amidala and eliminate the two Jedi, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Maul was unsuccesfull in his task and his rage for the two Jedi grew stronger. He tracked the two Jedi to Naboo, a vicious duel ensued. Maul battled both Jedi opponents with the help of his double-bladed light saber, Maul finally manages to kill Qui-Gon Jinn with a light saber strike. He continued the battle with Obi-Wan and managed to knock the young Padawan over a ledge. Just before falling off Kenobi was able to make a spectacular leap out of the shaft and Force-guide Jinn's light saber into his own hands. He quickly struck at the astounded Maul and cut him in two before Sith Lord could react.
