About the Player:
One of the best goalies of all-time, Bernie Parent helped led the Philadelphia Flyers to consecutive Stanly Cups (1974, 1975). He was awarded the Conn Smythe Throphy twice (1974, 1975), the Vezina Trophy twice (1974, 1975) and was a two-time All-Star (1974, 1975). During the 1973-74 season Parent had 47 wins, the most in NHL history (this record would stand until 2006-07 when Martin Brodeur would win 48 games). Parent has his number 1 retired by the Flyers and he was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984.
