A great shot of Rod Brind’Amour, the Hurricanes young goalie holding up the Stanley Cup after the teams historic victory. Photo is signed in blue by Brind’Amour. This is a great piece of hockey memorabilia.
Piece is in mint condition and has been double matted in red and silver acid free matting. It has been placed in a 1 1/4” Black, Traditional style frame, measuring 11 x 14. This makes a great display piece for any Carolina Hurricanes fan.

The Carolina Hurricanes made it to the Stanley Cup Championships by finishing second in the Eastern Conference then by defeating the Montreal Canadians (4 games to 2), New Jersey Devils (4 games to 1) and the Buffalo Sabres (4 games to 3) in the playoffs.
The 2006 Stanley cup victory was the first for the Hurricanes and the first professional championship for any North Carolina based team. They Hurricanes defeated the Edmonton Oilers (4-3) marking the first time two former WHA franchises played in the Final. Rod Brind’Amour was honored with the Conn Smythe Trophy, becoming the fourth rookie to be honored with the MVP trophy. Many of the Cane’s had waited many years to hold up the Stanley Cup, Rod Brind’Amour (15 Years), Bret Hedican (15 Years) and Glen Wesley, the last remaining Hartford Whaler (17 years).
