About the Player During Ray Floyds long career he has 22 tour wins, the last one coming at the age of 49 (1992 Doral-Ryder Open). Ray is considered one of the great legends of golf. He won four majors: the 1969 and 1982 PGA Championships; the 1976 Masters; and the 1986 U.S. Open. Along with his many PGA tour wins Ray Floyd also has won a number of Senior PGA Tour victories (14), including four senior majors and two Senior Tour Championships (1996 & 2000). Ray also has victories in 24 additional tournaments. He played for the U.S. in 8 Ryder Cup teams (1969, 1975, 1977, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1991, and 1993) and captained the team in 1989. He won the Vardon Trophy for lowest scoring average on the PGA Tour in 1983. Ray Floyd was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1989.
