About the Player One of the most beloved players of all time. Best known for his signature "toreador dance", where he would make believe that the birdie was a "bull" and that his putter was a "sword" and he would terminate the "bull". Chi Chi had eight tour victories throughout his career: 1963 (1) Denver Open Invitational , 1964 Lucky International Open, Western Open , 1967 Texas Open Invitational ,1968 Sahara Invitational , 1972 Byron Nelson Golf Classic , 1973 Greater Greensboro Open and 1979 Tallahassee Open. Along with his PGA tour victories Chi Chi was also very successful on the Senior Tour winning 22 tournaments from 1986 to 1993. Among those victories he became the first player on the Senior PGA Tour to win the same event in three consecutive years (Digital Seniors Classic -1986, 1987 & 1988). In 1998 he became the first Puerto Rican to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
