About the Player: Considered one of the great quarterbacks of his generation, Joe Theismann won the 1983 NFL Most Valuable player, helped the Redskins win Super Bowl XVII and was named to the Redskins Ring of Fame. Joe had an outstanding college football career, he was the quarterback for Notre Dame. Led the team to a 20-3-2 record, came in second in the voting for the 1970 Hiesman Trophy and was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame (2003) Along with leading the Redskins to a victory in Super bowl XVII, Joe also led them to an appearance in XVIII, was named to two Pro Bowls and finished his career as the Redskins leader in passing attempts (3,602), and career passing completions (2,044). He is considered the greatest Redskin quarterback of all-time and one of the greatest in NFL history.
