About the Player (Reggie Bush)
The star running back from USC is making his move on the NFL this season. Reggie Bush was drafted with the second overall pick of the 2006 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. This 2005 Hiesman Trophy winner is set to do great things in his rookie season.
Along with beating out Vince Young and teammate Matt Leinart for the Hiesman Trophy, Reggie was also named the 2005 AP Sportsman of the Year, given the Walter Camp Award and awarded the Doak Walker Award.
Saints fans are putting all their hopes on Reggie as the team has begun to build around him. Already nicknamed by fans "Saint Reggie", The Messiah and Mardi Gras Reggie is set to bring the Saints to the next level of play. He runs the ball with great skill and should be an impact in his first year.
About the Player(Matt Leinrat)
The former Heisman Trophy winner (2004) from USC is getting ready for his first NFL season. Drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the first round (10th pick) of the 2005 NFL draft Matt looks to be the Cardinals Quarterback for many years to come.
Matt had a spectacular college career finishing with 10,693 yards and 99 touchdowns and just 23 interceptions. He is USC's all-time leader in career touchdown passes and completion percentage. He averaged nearly 8.6 yards per attempt, and averaged one interception every 54 attempts. He was 37-2 as a starter and won many awards and accolades while leading the Trojans. Along with the 2004 Hiesman Trophy he was also the 2004 Rose Bowl MVP, the 2004 AP Player of the year, the 2004 Walter Camp Award winner,2004 Manning Award winner, 2005 Orange Bowl MVP, and 2005 Unitas Award winner.
If Matt's NFL numbers are similar to the numbers he put up in college he will be leading the Cardinals to many winning seasons.
