The Jet’s threw their hat into the throwback jersey ring but most are asking why?? They reached back into their long history and wore the uniforms from their previous incarnation the New York Titans. The jerseys were navy with white and gold, helmets were navy no log and pants were gold with a white and navy strips. So far the most boring of the NFL throwback uniforms.  Even the Jets players didn’t like them. If you happened to turn the game on you wouldn’t have even know that it was the Jets playing.  I don’t think there will be a lot of sales at the Meadowlands on those.

A little bit about the Titans, They played in the American Football League from 1960-62 before the team was bought in 1963 by a five-man group that included Sonny Werblin and Leon Hess. The new owners changed the name of the team to Jets and introduced the green color scheme, a good thing for all the Jets fans.
