About the Player: After an outstanding college career, where he was a member of Michigan’s famous “Fab Five” Webber made a smooth transition to the NBA. The Michigan team Webber played on went to the NCAA finals two years in a row. The team which consisted of Webber, Juwan Howard, Jalen Rose, Jimmy King and Ray Jackson is considered one of the best college teams of all-time. Webber was the first selection in the 1993 NBA draft, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors on draft day. Webber would go on to win the 1993 NBA Rookie of the Year. Throughout his NBA career Webber has shown his skilled passing and ball handling ability. For a big man he is considered one of the most effective ball handlers. During the last few years as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers Webber has returned to his early form, in 2006 he had 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. In 2003 Webber was ranked #64 in the SLAM magazine’s Top 75 NBA players of all-time.
