About the Player Drafted directly out of High School Kevin Garnett has grown up in the NBA. Garnett was the fifth overall pick of the 1995 NBA draft the first high school player taken in the first round in over 20 years. Garnett quickly established himself as a force in the NBA, he holds the record for most consecutive seasons (6) of averaging at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. He is a nine-time NBA All-Star (1997, 1998, 2000 - 2006), a seven-time NBA All-Defensive team member (2000-2006), and a seven-time All-NBA team selection (1999-2006) Kevin has helped power the Minnesota Timberwolves to the playoffs for eight year sin a row. He was rewarded for his efforts with the 2003-04 NBA Most Valuable Player Award. Garnett is on his way to the Basketball Hall of Fame, he is the only reach at least 17,000 points, 9,500 rebounds, 3,800 assists, 1,190 steals, and 1,450 blocks in his playing career.
