About the Park
Located in left field of Yankee Stadium, 450 feet from home plate, Monument Parks stands as area of dedication to many great former Yankees. The area, which is open to the public contains monuments and plaques dedicated to key members and moments in Yankees history. The Park also contains an area with all the Yankees retired numbers, including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle.
The original three monuments Miller Huggins, Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth were actually on the playing field in deep left field and batted balls would occasionally find there way out there.
