About the Player:
A quality pitcher thru most of his career, David Wells became the 15th pitcher in major league history to toss a perfect game. It was May 17, 1998 Wells shut down the Minnesota Twins 27 up and 27 down Wells stuck-out 11 batters. He threw 120 pitches, 79 strikes and 41 balls. It was only the second perfect game in Yankees history.
