About the Player: The First player in history to be named an All-Star in two professional sports, Bo Jackson is considered one of the greatest athletes of the past 50 years. He played running back for the Los Angeles Raiders and Outfield for the Kansas City Royals. As a Royal Jackson had his best season in 1989, he was named to the American League All-Star team and was the games Most Valuable Player. During the game Jackson hit a monstrous homerun and later stole a base. He is one of only two players in history to hit a homerun and steal a base in the same All-Star game (Willie Mays is the other player). He finished his career with 141 HR’s and 598 hits. As a Raider Jackson was drafted with the 1st pick of the 1986 NFL draft, he was the Hiesman trophy winner in 1985. During his four NFL season Jackson rushed for 2,782 yards and had 16 touchdowns. He holds the record for most rushing yards on Monday Night Football (221 on November 30, 1987).
