About the Player:
Javy Lopez a 3-time All-Star (1997-98, 2003) was originally signed by the Atlanta Brave as an undrafted free agent in 1987. He became their starting catcher in 1996 after sharing the role for a couple of years. Javy signed with the Baltimore Orioles following the 2003 season. Javy has also won a Silver Slugger Award (2004) and was named NLCS MVP in 1996.
Javy Lopez had his best season in 2003 he hit batting .328 with 43 home runs, 29 doubles and 109 RBI. The 43 home runs he hit that season broke Todd Hundley's record for most home runs hit in a season by a catcher, Hundley had 41.
