About the Player:
Brian McCann is considered one of the “Baby Braves” the group of young players that were called up to start for the Braves in 2005. Originally selected in the 2nd Round of the 2002 June free agent baseball draft. McCann quickly advanced through the Braves farm system.
Brian’s steady play has made him one of the best young catchers in the game today, he was selected to the 2006 All-Star game and finished the season batting .333 with 34 doubles, 24 home runs, and 93 RBI in just 442 at-bats, outstanding numbers for a catcher.
